Here is the complete breakdown of every ending, the items required, and the exact final outcome, all in one comprehensive section.
🌟 Shura Ending (The Bad Ending)
- Required Items: None.
- What to Do: On the Ashina Castle roof, choose "Obey the Iron Code, forsake Kuro."
- What Happens: Wolf betrays Kuro and brutally kills Emma and Isshin Ashina. When Great Shinobi Owl returns to celebrate their victory, Wolf blindsides his father and stabs him through the back. Wolf picks up both Mortal Blades as his left arm bursts into demonic flames. He completely loses his humanity to bloodlust, becoming a "Shura" (a demon of war) who spends the next several decades slaughtering the people of Japan.
- The Fate: Kuro dies off-screen in the burning castle, and Wolf becomes an immortal monster.

🍁 Immortal Severance Ending (The Standard Ending)
- Required Items: Divine Dragon's Tears.
- What to Do: Choose "Stay Loyal to Kuro," defeat the Divine Dragon, defeat Sword Saint Isshin, and give Kuro ONLY the Dragon's Tears.
- What Happens: Wolf uses the Mortal Blade to sever Kuro's ties to the Dragon's Heritage, fulfilling Kuro's wish to end the immortal corruption. The process is fatal to the Divine Heir. Kuro dies peacefully in Wolf's arms. Distraught by the loss of his master, Wolf takes the place of the Sculptor at the Dilapidated Temple, spending the rest of his days carving Buddha statues to stave off his own descent into Shura. Emma gifts Wolf's prosthetic arm to the next shinobi in need.
- The Fate: Kuro dies, Wolf becomes the new Sculptor, and the cycle of the Shinobi continues.

🌸 Purification Ending (The Sacrifice Ending)
- Required Items: Divine Dragon's Tears + Aromatic Flower.
- What to Do: Eavesdrop on Kuro and Emma to get the Father's Bell Charm. Defeat Owl (Father) in Hirata Estate to get the Aromatic Flower. Give BOTH items to Kuro at the end.
- What Happens: Instead of killing Kuro to sever immortality, Wolf uses the Aromatic Flower (branch of the Everblossom) in a ritual that purifies Kuro of the Dragon's Heritage while keeping him alive. However, this ritual requires the life of Kuro's oathbound protector. Wolf uses the Mortal Blade to take his own life. Kuro survives as a normal, mortal human boy. Years later, an older Kuro visits Wolf's grave alongside Emma, thanking his shinobi before setting off on his own journey.
- The Fate: Wolf sacrifices himself, Kuro lives a normal mortal life.

❄️ Return Ending (The "True" or "Best" Ending)
- Required Items: Divine Dragon's Tears + Frozen Tears.
- What to Do: Complete the Divine Child of Rejuvenation's questline (Holy Chapter: Infested, persimmons, serpent viscera) to receive Frozen Tears. Give BOTH items to Kuro at the end.
- What Happens: Rather than severing immortality (killing Kuro) or purifying it (killing Wolf), this ending seeks to return the Dragon's Heritage to its homeland in the West. Wolf gives Kuro both tears. Kuro is absorbed into the heart of the Divine Child of Rejuvenation, where his spirit lives on safely. Both Wolf and the Divine Child survive. Armed with the Mortal Blade, Wolf escorts the Divine Child on a long journey west toward the birthplace of the Divine Dragon to permanently return the power of immortality.
- The Fate: Nobody dies. Kuro's spirit lives inside the Divine Child, and Wolf escorts her to the West (setting up a potential sequel).
