Sekiro Walkthrough Part 16

Route Step: Travel to the Inner Sanctum idol in Senpou Temple. Hand the Holy Chapter: Infested (found in Senpou Main Hall or the pond) to the Divine Child. Request Rice from her. Eat the rice or give it away (like to the old woman), rest, and request it again. Do this 3 times until she falls visibly ill and gasps for air.

Route Step: When she is sick, she will ask for a Persimmon. Feed her a Persimmon (you can buy one from the Shugendo Memorial Mob merchant in Senpou for 30 Sen). In gratitude, she recovers and gives you a special item: Rice for Kuro. Deliver this rice to Lord Kuro in his room at Ashina Castle. Speak to him, rest at the idol, and he will give you Sweet Rice Balls. Eat one right in front of him and talk to him again.

Route Step: Return to the Inner Sanctum. Talk to the Divine Child and she will say she needs to investigate. Rest at the idol, and she will be gone. Travel through the blue light portal to the Halls of Illusion. You will find her standing near the large tree. Speak to her. She will tell you to find the Senpou high priest. Next, travel to the Main Hall idol in Senpou. Exit the side door into the dark cave system. Drop into the deep pool of water and dive to the bottom to find the high priest's corpse. Retrieve the Holy Chapter: Dragon's Return from him. Return to the Inner Sanctum and hand it to the Divine Child.

Route Step: Travel to the very first Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo idol. Walk outside and drop down to the small assassin enemy (rat) standing next to the kite crank. Backstab him and activate Puppeteer Ninjutsu. He will automatically crank the kite into the sky. Progress through Senpou until you can climb the giant tree near the first monk area. Grapple across the kite to fly over the chasm to a Sunken Valley cliff. Follow the path, look down, and execute a sky plunge Deathblow on the Great Serpent resting below. You will obtain the Fresh Serpent Viscera!

Route Step: Travel to the Bodhisattva Valley idol (where you fought Guardian Ape). Look down into the toxic valley floor and follow the poisonous river opposite of the ape arena. Enter the dark cave housing the second Great Serpent. Sneak past it until you reach a drop-off with a monkey cowering on a ledge. Backstab the monkey and use Puppeteer Ninjutsu. The monkey will run forward and distract the serpent. Grapple up to the shrine altar, run inside, and snatch the Dried Serpent Viscera off the statue!

Route Step: Return to the Inner Sanctum. Hand both the Fresh and Dried Serpent Viscera to the Divine Child. Rest at the idol. Her doors will now be closed. Press against the doors to eavesdrop on her consuming the viscera in pain. Rest again, and the doors will be open. Speak to her, and she will bestow the ultimate key item: the Frozen Tears!

Route Step: With the Frozen Tears secured, you have completed the prerequisite steps. Proceed with the game normally. Slay the Divine Dragon in Fountainhead Palace to obtain the Divine Dragon's Tears. Then, head to the Ashina Reservoir secret passage and defeat Sword Saint Isshin in the silver reed field.

Route Step: Walk up to Lord Kuro lying on the ground in the silver field. Select "Administer Divine Dragon's Tears and Frozen Tears". Sit back and watch the secret true Return (Dragon's Homecoming) Ending cutscene where Kuro's soul is cradled within the Divine Child as Wolf and the Divine Child set out on a journey west to the birthplace of the Divine Dragon!
