Understanding the Annihilus Unlock Mechanism
With the launch of the World Boss Mythic tier, Annihilus represents the pinnacle of endgame challenge in Marvel Future Fight. Unlike standard World Bosses that unlock through Story missions or low-tier clears, Annihilus sits at the center of the World Boss Legend+ (WBL+) ecosystem.
Unlocking Annihilus involves a two-phase process:
- Unlocking the Annihilus World Boss Mythic Stage: You must clear Stage 20 of all 4 active World Boss Legend+ bosses. Note that these clears are NOT retroactive; even if you pushed high stages previously, you must register the clears under the current challenge tree.
- Recruiting Annihilus to Your Roster: Once the stage is unlocked, defeat Annihilus 10 times to acquire his biometrics and recruit him at 1-Star Native Tier-3.
How WBL+ Stage Progression Works: Stage 9 vs Stage 19
To reach Stage 20 of any World Boss Legend+ encounter, you cannot simply brute-force your way from Stage 1 to 20 without stopping. You encounter two strict gatekeeper milestones where you must complete 5 Challenge Quests:

A common misconception is that purchasing crystal skips allows you to skip intermediate stages. In Marvel Future Fight, you CANNOT skip in between intermediate stages with crystals!
