Walkthrough
Suppression is the ninth campaign mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Placed under arrest by a corrupt Guild faction inside a high-security detention facility in Avalon, David Mason and the Specter One crew must capitalize on a prison riot to escape. The level features close-quarters cellblock combat and heavy defensive sequences.
Mission Info & Unlockables
- Unlockable Achievement: "Prison Break" achievement is unlocked upon completing both *Quarantine* and *Suppression* in co-op.
- Collectible Intel: 1 piece ("Warden's Notice") found on the wall bulletin board in the warden's reception office.
- Top Item to Pick: The heavy tactical armor vest found near the starting zone, offering +50% bullet resistance for the rest of the mission.
Phase 1: Cellblock Breakout
You begin locked inside a cell. Once a riot occurs, the cell gates open, and you must acquire weapons.
- Melee the Guard: Use a silent melee execution on the isolated guard near the cell doors to secure a pistol.
- Release Other Prisoners: Pull the levers in the central guard office to release other prisoners. They will create a distraction, drawing enemy fire away from you.
Phase 2: Cellblock Corridor Push
Move down the main cellblock corridor. Heavy guards carrying riot shields block the path.
Step-by-Step Objectives:
- Use Riot Shields: Shoot the legs of the riot shield guards to make them drop their shields. Pick up a shield to block incoming machine gun fire from the watchtowers.
- Throw Grenades: Toss fragmentation grenades behind the shield wall to clear out the entrenched guards.
- Proceed to the next area: Follow the objective marker and eliminate any remaining hostiles to trigger the final phase sequence.
Phase 3: Burning Courtyard
Flee through the prison courtyard under heavy sniper fire and burning helicopter debris.
- Move Between Cover: Sprint between concrete blocks and burning crates. Prioritize shooting the searchlights on the towers to blind the snipers.
- Escape: Climb into the back of the hijacked armored transport vehicle at the outer gate to escape.
Tips and Tricks
- Riot Shield Shielding: Keep the riot shield active on your back when escaping. It blocks a substantial amount of bullets fired from behind.
- Intel Location: Do not miss the Warden's Notice. It is located inside the security checkpoint building right before you exit into the courtyard.
