Fracture is the seventh campaign mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Located in Los Angeles, this mind-bending mission challenges the team as they traverse a heavily distorted, reality-warping safehouse space. You must follow a data drone, solve a security keypad puzzle, and face a boss battle against a corrupted manifestation of Mike Harper.
Mission Info & Collectibles
- Location: Warped Safehouse, Los Angeles
- Collectible Intel: 1 piece ("Medical Report") found on a file tray inside the receptionist office, right next to the terminal you hack.
- Top Item to Pick: The heavy tactical armor vest found near the starting zone, offering +50% bullet resistance for the rest of the mission.
Phase 1: Spatial Hallucination
You begin in a fractured LA safehouse. Physics are warped, and floating rooms connect at odd angles.
- Follow the Data Drone: The drone maps a path through the floating blocks. Stick close to it to avoid falling off the boundaries.
- Survive Phantoms: Clear out the shadow soldiers that spawn in corridors as the rooms rearrange.
Phase 2: The Reception Keypad Puzzle
At the center of the office, you find a locked security vault requiring a 4-digit keypad code. The code is randomized for every session.
Keypad Code Solution:
- Hack the Terminal: Approach the receptionist desk computer and solve the node-rotation mini-game to restore power to the desk monitors.
- Watch the Monitors: Look at the screens behind the reception desk. Many numbers will start flashing rapidly, but four specific digits will remain completely static (non-flashing).
- Note the Code: Write down these four static numbers from left to right. This is your randomized vault code.
- Open the Vault: Type the code into the vault keypad door.
Phase 3: Boss Battle - Mike Harper
Inside the vault, you face a giant, corrupted boss manifestation of Mike Harper.
Step-by-Step Objectives:
- Avoid Ground Slams: Harper frequently charges and slams the ground, generating shockwaves. Use your lateral jumps to dodge out of the area.
- Shoot the Weakpoints: Focus fire on his glowing shoulder and back cores.
- Use Heavy Ordnance: Pick up the RPGs located on weapon racks around the perimeter of the arena to destroy his armor plates quickly.
- Proceed to the next area: Follow the objective marker and eliminate any remaining hostiles to trigger the final phase sequence.
Tips and Tricks
- Keep Your Distance: Harper deals massive damage at close range. Keep backing away and maintain a circle route around the outer columns.
- Static Numbers: If you are struggling to spot the static code numbers, zoom in with a weapon scope on the monitors to filter out the flashing numbers.
