Escalation is the fourth campaign mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Since the original quantum drive acquired in Mission 1 was heavily encrypted, the squad must infiltrate a Guild logistics depot in Avalon to secure a physical backup quantum computing module. This mission requires precision stealth to bypass automated defense grids.
Mission Info & Collectibles
- Location: Logistics Depot, Avalon
- Collectible Intel: 1 piece ("Logistics Invoice") found inside the security office drawer in the north warehouse. Pick it lock to open and find the file.
- Top Item to Pick: The heavy tactical armor vest found near the starting zone, offering +50% bullet resistance for the rest of the mission.
Phase 1: Logistics Depot Infiltration
You insert at the edge of the logistics depot. Watchtowers, searchlights, and security cameras cover the ground.
- Disable the Cameras: Shoot out the lenses of security cameras using a suppressed weapon, or throw EMP grenades to temporarily short them out.
- Avoid Searchlights: Observe the sweep pattern of the tower searchlights. Cross the open spaces only when the beam is pointed away.
Phase 2: Crane Terminal Override
The backup module is stored inside a heavy vault container. You must access the depot control tower and override the cargo crane.
Step-by-Step Objectives:
- Reach the Control Tower: Climb the service ladders on the side of the main building. Avoid the guards patrolling the walkway.
- Crane Console Override: Interact with the computer console inside the control booth. Solve a quick node-rotation hack to hook the cargo crane onto the container.
- Proceed to the next area: Follow the objective marker and eliminate any remaining hostiles to trigger the final phase sequence.
Phase 3: Module Retrieval and Defense
Once the crane lifts the container, the depot triggers an alarm. You must defend the crane console from enemy technicians trying to disable it.
- Hold the Position: Place claymores on the staircases leading to the control booth. Use the mounted light machine gun to suppress incoming waves.
- Extraction: Once the container is lowered onto the flatbed truck, jump down and escape the depot via the driver seat.
Tips and Tricks
- Drones: Security robots will alert nearby guards immediately if they see you. Use EMP grenades to disable them from distance.
- Lockpicking: The security office drawer requires lockpicking. Rotate the pick until you feel the vibration, then click to unlock.
