Walkthrough
Containment is the eleventh and final story mission in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 campaign. Operating in the deep ocean, David Mason and his JSOC team mount an underwater infiltration of the Guild's offshore bio-weapon rig, "Blackheart." Your mission is to destroy their packing modules, disable shipping lines, and shut down their manufacturing capability for good.
Mission Info & Unlockables
- Completion Reward: Unlocks the "Grounded" Operator Skin and 5,000 XP.
- Collectible Intel: 1 piece ("Blackheart Schematic") found on the server desk in the main sub-dock control station.
- Top Item to Pick: The heavy tactical armor vest found near the starting zone, offering +50% bullet resistance for the rest of the mission.
Phase 1: Submersible Infiltration
You begin in a deep-sea submersible navigating the waters surrounding the Blackheart rig.
- Navigate Deep Waters: Steer the submersible through the structural pillars of the mining rig. Avoid deep-water patrol drones by swimming in low-depth trenches.
- Docking: Reach the underwater docking bay, latch onto the hatch, and board the facility's lower deck.
Phase 2: Disable Shipping Lines
Inside the facility, you must stop the automated conveyors shipping bio-weapon crates out to transports.
Step-by-Step Objectives:
- Console Hack: Move to the main distribution chamber. Interact with the shipping console computer and solve the final circuit hacking puzzle to disable the power flow to the conveyer lines.
- Proceed to the next area: Follow the objective marker and eliminate any remaining hostiles to trigger the final phase sequence.
Phase 3: Sabotage Packing Modules
Sabotage the remaining stock of chemical containers before they can be evacuated.
- Destroy Modules: Locate the 4 chemical packing modules in the warehouse sector.
- Shoot the Cylinders: Instead of planting charges, you can shoot the glowing yellow gas cylinders attached to the modules. This triggers a localized explosion that shatters the module immediately.
- Escape: Run to the upper landing platform where your chopper is waiting to lift you out as the rig's structural core detonates.
Tips and Tricks
- Cylinder Explodes: Shooting the yellow cylinders on packing modules will damage nearby enemies as well. Wait for enemy waves to gather near a module before shooting the cylinder.
- Armored Elite: The warehouse sector features multiple heavily armored juggernaut guards. Use your RPG or semtex grenades to peel off their armor before shooting their heads.
