Welcome back, Shinobi!
Earning the Platinum Trophy (All Trophies/Achievements) in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is already a serious challenge, but routing it like a speedrunner is next level. In the speedrun community, routing is everything. We can view the learning progression as a curriculum: starting from **101 Any% Speedrun**, moving to **505 All Memories & Bosses (Glitchless)**, progressing to **909 Glitchless & Cheeseless 100%**, and graduating at **999 Glitchless Platinum Trophy**.
Here is your step-by-step breakdown of the Sekiro speedrun codes for a glitchless, all trophies, platinum execution.
Sekiro Speedrun 101: Any% Speedrun
This is the fastest, absolute entry-level speedrun category, focusing on getting to the credits as quickly as possible:
- Shura ending: The standard route runs through the Shura ending, which is the shortest and requires defeating Emma and Isshin Ashina.
- Glitch & Skip integration: Runners utilize out-of-bounds skips, gate slips, and deathblow bypasses to skip massive portions of the game's map.
- Split Setup: Download LiveSplit and use the standard Any% Shura configuration to track benchmarks.
Sekiro Speedrun 505: All Memories & Bosses (Glitchless)
An intermediate tier that removes game-breaking exploits and shifts focus to clean combat execution:
- Glitchless Rules: Major exploits and out-of-bound skips are banned. Runners must travel through the main progression path of Ashina and defeat every boss that yields a Memory.
- Combat Timing: Relies heavily on mastering enemy deflection loops, positioning, and prosthetics (like Firecrackers and Loaded Axe) without breaks in flow.
- Route Efficiency: Paths are routed to grab vital gourd seeds and items along the way without backtracking.
Sekiro Speedrun 909: Glitchless, Cheeseless, 100% Boss & Item Run
A high-difficulty category requiring complete completion of all areas without skips or cheap battle tactics:
- All Collectibles: Collect all 40 Prayer Beads (Player Beads), 9 Gourd Seeds, and all base Prosthetic Tools.
- No Cheese or Deathblow Skips: Every fight must be fought purely. No stunlocking bosses with ash/firecrackers, and absolutely no mid-air deathblow skips (such as skipping True Monk's second phase in the trees).
- All Bosses: Defeat every major and minor boss in the game glitchless, proving absolute deflection and posture mastery.
Sekiro Speedrun 999: Glitchless Platinum Trophy (All Achievements)
The ultimate curriculum peak. This route targets full game achievement mastery while staying completely glitchless:
- Four Endings Glitchless: Route and earn all endings (Shura, Immortal Severance, Purification, Return) without any out-of-bound shortcuts or skips.
- Full Upgrade Mastery: Upgrade all prosthetic tools to their final forms (requiring all Lapis Lazuli) and unlock every single skill in the game.
- Mental Endurance: Manage New Game Plus (NG+) scaling where bosses hit with maximum posture damage, requiring flawless execution across multiple cycles.
